Jessica Mayho

Walsh Taylor were once again honoured to sponsor the Special Award at the annual Yorkshire Young Achievers Foundation award ceremony.  Kate Ellis presented Hammer thrower Jessica Mayho, of Cononley, with the award.  The athlete who has been an inspiration to so many young people is a previous grant recipient receiving funds to help fund her training which has seen her become one of Britain’s best hammer throwers.

She was presented with the Special Award in recognition of the funding raising and time that she gives to support young people in the Yorkshire region.   This includes supporting the Young Achievers Foundation throughout the year.

She then moved to a smaller firm so she could advance her knowledge on a more hands on basis. She moved back to Leeds in 1987 and commenced working with a small firm of accountants and subsequently made partner.

She left in 1999 to set up her own practice, McCann Taylor.
McCann Taylor became involved with the consumer market both in England and Scotland.

Mary sold McCann Taylor in March 2007 and formed Walsh Taylor to concentrate on helping businesses experiencing financial difficulties.
